What is PCI ASV?
An Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) is an organization validated by the PCI Security Standards Council to perform external vulnerability scans.
ASV scans are required under PCI DSS Requirement 11 to protect payment card security by identifying vulnerabilities and misconfigurations on internet-facing assets (such as web servers and firewalls) that process, transmit, or store cardholder data.
